Vision

Albert Gubay was an exceptional man; an entrepreneurial genius who created a business empire that was worth over £700 million.

He founded the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation (AGCF) in 2008, and in 2016 he bequeathed to it the property empire he had created, so that the income generated could be used for charitable purposes in perpetuity. Derwent Estates manages this portfolio and in so doing safeguards the giving of the Foundation.

To best serve this purpose, Albert Gubay left us with the following value statement:

“The current employees of Derwent Estates are charged by its Founder, Albert Gubay, with the creation of an organisation that is worthy of his ambition to use all of its profits for good purposes.

Every penny we make will be used to help someone and every penny we waste is lost to someone in need.

We must follow in the Founders footsteps and be strong minded to be soft hearted,

We must not waste,

We must be frugal to pass on as much as we can, and

We must work hard now to help others in the future.”

These are things against which we will measure ourselves, and those we do business with.
